Use Your Xbox to Learn

"Replicate!" is just one of several prototype games created through the Games-to-Teach project. The project is the result of a partnership between Microsoft's research division and MIT's Comparative Media Studies program. Their goal? To design games whose main purpose is to support learning in math, science and engineering.

Another game, called "The Political Machine," is a commercial game in which students learn about the political process by running a presidential campaign. A player who doesn't grasp the difference between electoral and popular votes will not win the election or the game.
